- ●2/3 cup NESTLÉ® LA LECHERA® Sweetened Condensed Milk
- ●1 3/4 cups fat free milk
- ●3 saffron strands
- ●3 tablespoons ghee, divided
- ●1 1/2 cups lotus seeds (makhana)
- ●1 tablespoon pine nuts
- ●1/3 cup raisins
- ●1/3 cup cashews, chopped
- ●3 tablespoons blanched almonds, chopped
- ●1 teaspoon ground cardamom
Make It
Step 1
Combine sweetened condensed milk and fat free milk in a medium saucepan; add the saffron and set aside.
Step 2
Heat ½ tablespoon ghee in a medium skillet and fry the lotus seeds for 1 minute; remove from skillet. Cool and crush the seeds. Heat remaining ghee in the same skillet; fry pine nuts, raisins, cashews and almonds until golden brown.
Step 3
Add the crushed lotus seeds and nut mixture to the milk mixture and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until thick and creamy. Add cardamom powder and mix well; remove from heat. Serve hot or cold.
