LIFE CUISINE is an innovative brand developed by the chefs and nutritionists that also make LEAN CUISINE, offering delicious and satisfying foods with protein, fiber and essential nutrients to fit your lifestyle. LEAN CUISINE continues to offer portion-controlled versions of your favorite foods to help you stay on track, always with 10g of fat or less and 400 calories or less. Together, LEAN CUISINE and LIFE CUISINE offer an accessible range of ready-made frozen meals to meet your unique tastes and preferences.
What type of frozen meal formats does LIFE CUISINE offer?

Are LIFE CUISINE frozen cauliflower crust pizzas and piadas really gluten free?
Yep! LIFE CUISINE has all of the flavor in a gluten free option, like our frozen Cauliflower Crust Pepperoni Pizza, Pesto Cauliflower Gnocchi bowl, or Cauliflower Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch Piada. We use ingredients such as cauliflower, rice flour and mozzarella cheese to bring you a deliciously satisfying gluten free crust.
Is the LIFE CUISINE tray or bowl recyclable?
- We use 30% recycled plastic in our trays to increase the ability of this tray to be recycled. Be sure to check with your local community to see if our trays are accepted.
- Check locally for whether the plastic bowl, when rinsed, is accepted at recycling centers in your locality.
- Yes, the paperboard outer carton is recyclable.
Can I reuse the LIFE CUISINE tray or bowl?
We do not recommend that the LIFE CUISINE trays be reused. The tray or bowl should not be reused. It was not designed as a reusable container.
Do LIFE CUISINE trays or bowls have BPA?
LIFE CUISINE does not use BPA when creating our trays and bowls.
What is LIFE CUISINE doing to minimize waste produced when making your meals?
We achieved zero waste for disposal at all LIFE CUISINE-owned manufacturing facilities in 2020, meaning all locations have found ways to recycle, compost or recover energy from waste materials that would have otherwise gone to a landfill. Learn more about LIFE CUISINE and our philosophy.

How much sodium is in your LIFE CUISINE products?
LIFE CUISINE dishes have between 490-1025mg of sodium (avg. of ~750mg). We passionately care about balancing flavor and nutrition in our recipes. On average, eating a LIFE CUISINE entrée would represent ~33% of the daily sodium intake recommended by the 2020 – 2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The guideline is set at 2,300mg but Americans eat on average ~3,400mg of sodium per day. Refer to the product label for the most up to date ingredient, nutrition and allergen information.

I have a food allergy. How do I find out if LIFE CUISINE contains any of the 9 major food allergens?
Effective January 1, 2023, the major food allergens list was expanded to include sesame. According to the US FDA 90% of food allergic reactions are caused by: milk, egg, fish, crustacea (e.g., shellfish like shrimp, lobster, crab), tree nuts (almonds, pecans, hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.), wheat, peanuts, soybean and sesame . These are often referred to as the "Big 9" and at LIFE CUISINE we always label them whenever these foods or proteins derived from these foods are present in our products. Refer to the ingredient panel for more information.
How do I prepare my LIFE CUISINE meal?
The recommended preparation instructions for LIFE CUISINE are on the package and provide the optimal results for each dish. All of our entrees can be prepared in the microwave and those cooking times are based on the usage of an 1100-watt microwave oven. If alternative preparation methods are recommended for a particular dish, they will be provided on the packaging.
My microwave doesn’t have 50% power. How do I microwave LIFE CUISINE frozen meal products properly?
Fifty-percent power is the same as power level 5, medium, medium-low and in some cases, the defrost settings on microwaves. If your microwave only has one setting, you can heat the product on high for half the amount of time, then check it. Continue cooking on high but check every 30-60 seconds to keep it from overcooking. For safety, always ensure the product reaches an internal temperature of 165° F.
Can I eat a LIFE CUISINE meal that has thawed?
Nope. LIFE CUISINE dishes must be stored in the freezer and cooked thoroughly from a frozen state for product safety and quality.
