Why is LIFE CUISINE focusing on recipes that appeal to four specific lifestyles? How were these lifestyles chosen?
Our team looked closely at what eating well means today. And what we discovered is that what it means to you might be different than what it means to your neighbor, to your roommate, or to your colleague. We wanted to offer foods that fit different lifestyles and dietary preferences in order to offer relevant choices to our consumers. We identified four key lifestyles, which ultimately became the foundation for our product line: low carb lifestyle, high protein, meatless and gluten free. But we didn’t stop there. We wanted to ensure that no matter what lifestyle or dietary preference, our meals would still offer the nutrients you need. So, we developed our recipes to include protein, fiber, and two or more essential nutrients. That way, whether you’re Gluten Free, counting macros, or just trying to eat less meat, you can still be confident that you’re eating a nutritious meal.
Does LIFE CUISINE offer meatless options?
Yes, LIFE CUISINE offers meatless and plant-powered meals, so check the ingredient statements whether you are flexitarian, vegetarian or vegan to see if our products meet your preference for adding more plant-based foods to your diet. According to the US FDA 90% of food allergic reactions are caused by: milk, egg, fish, crustacea (e.g., shellfish like shrimp, lobster, crab), tree nuts (almonds, pecans, hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.), wheat, peanuts, soybean. How do I prepare my LIFE CUISINE?
The recommended preparation instructions for LIFE CUISINE are on the package and provide the optimal results for each dish. All of our entrees can be prepared in the microwave and those cooking times are based on the usage of an 1100-watt microwave oven. If alternative preparation methods are recommended for a particular dish, they will be provided on the packaging.
How do I prepare my LIFE CUISINE dish if my microwave is not 1100 watts?
Our cooking times are based on an 1100-watt microwave oven. As microwave ovens vary, cooking times may need to be adjusted. If a lower wattage microwave is used, the cooking time may need to be increased. If additional time is added, it is important to watch the product while it is cooking to avoid bubbling over. For safety, always ensure the product reaches an internal temperature of 165° F.
My microwave doesn't have 50% power. How do I microwave your products properly?
Fifty-percent power is the same as power level 5, medium, medium-low and in some cases, the defrost settings on microwaves. If your microwave only has one setting, you can heat the product on high for half the amount of time, then check it. Continue cooking on high but check every 30-60 seconds to keep it from overcooking. For safety, always ensure the product reaches an internal temperature of 165° F.
Can I eat a LIFE CUISINE meal that has thawed?
Nope. LIFE CUISINE dishes must be stored in the freezer and cooked thoroughly from a frozen state for product safety and quality.
