  • 1 package (8 ounces) SWEET EARTH Enlightened Foods Barbecue Style Savory Grounds
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded, cleaned and diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded, cleaned and diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 1/4 cups of tomato sauce (spaghetti sauce is typically used here)
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 3 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste


Step 1
In a large, lightly oiled pot, brown the savory grounds on medium heat.
Step 2
Reduce heat to medium-low. Add the bell peppers and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, vegetable broth, rice, marjoram, salt and pepper.
Step 4
Cover and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
