Make It

Step 1

Beat butter for a few seconds; beat in granulated sugar, sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla extract until completely mixed. Add flour; mix until it forms a paste. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 325° F. On a floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll out the dough until it is 1/4-inch thick. Cut 10 2-inch squares. Place a little of the strawberry jam in the center of each square and fold it into an envelope shape. Use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter and cut out 10 hearts and glue them with a little water on each envelope. Place cookies on baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned; let cool completely.

Sprinkle powdered sugar over cookies and serve.
