- ●1 tablespoon olive oil
- ●1 onion, finely chopped
- ●2 carrots, finely chopped
- ●2 stalks celery, finely chopped
- ●4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- ●1 pound ground beef
- ●3 tablespoons MAGGI Granulated Beef Flavor Bouillon, divided
- ●1 tablespoon Italian seasoning blend
- ●1/4 cup tomato paste
- ●3 1/2 cups water, divided
- ●1 cup diced tomatoes
- ●8 ounces dried spaghetti
- ●Fresh basil, torn
- ●Grated Parmesan cheese
Make It
Step 1
Heat oil in a large saucepan set over medium heat; cook onion, carrots, celery and garlic for about 5 minutes or until softened. Add beef, 1 tablespoon bouillon and seasoning blend; cook, breaking up beef with wooden spoon, for about 5 minutes or until browned.
Step 2
Stir in tomato paste; cook for about 2 minutes or until deep red color. Add 1/2 cup water; boil gently for about 3 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half. Add remaining 3 cups water, tomatoes and remaining 2 tablespoons bouillon; bring to boil.
Step 3
Add spaghetti, breaking in half if necessary to fit in pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes or until pasta is tender. Sprinkle with basil and serve with Parmesan cheese.
