Impress your guests with this NIDO x Nestle Toll House Cookie Trifle! Layered with NIDO whipped cream, toll house chocolate chip cookies, and your favorite fruit for a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Equipment Needed

  • Knife
  • Spoon
  • Oven
  • Mixer
  • Baking Sheet
  • Ramekins
  • Pastry Bag
Part 1: Bake the Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll the NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. You can slice it into 1/2-inch thick rounds, or if you prefer a more rustic look for the trifle, you can roll the pieces into balls.

  3. Add Extra Morsels (Optional): If you want extra chocolatey cookies, gently press some of the extra Toll House Milk Chocolate Morsels into the tops of the cookie dough pieces before baking.

  4. Bake: Place the cookie dough pieces about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and centers are just set.

  5. Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cool, break them into bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch chunks).

Part 2: Make the NIDO Whipped Cream
  1. Chill Bowl: For best results, chill your mixing bowl and whisk attachment (if using a stand mixer) in the freezer for 10–15 minutes before starting.

  2. Whip Cream: Pour the very cold heavy whipping cream into the chilled bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.

  3. Add NIDO and Sweeteners: Reduce speed to low. Gradually add the NIDO Fortificada, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.

  4. Whip to Stiff Peaks: Increase speed to medium-high and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat, or it will become grainy. The NIDO will give it a lovely slightly thicker flavor and texture.

Part 3: Prepare the Fruit
  1. Wash and Slice: Wash your fresh berries thoroughly. If using strawberries, slice them into bite-sized pieces. Leave raspberries and blueberries whole.

Part 4: Assemble the Trifle
  1. First Layer (Cookies): Place about one-third of broken cookie pieces at bottom of your trifle bowl or individual serving glasses.

  2. Second Layer (Whipped Cream): Spoon or pipe about one-third of the NIDO whipped cream over the cookie layer, spreading it gently to the edges.

  3. Third Layer (Fruit): Arrange about one-third of the fresh fruit over the whipped cream.

  4. Repeat layers:
    - Another layer of cookies
    - Another layer of NIDO whipped cream
    - Another layer of mixed fruit

  5. Final Layer: Finish with the remaining cookies, whipped cream, and fruit on top.

  6. Garnish (optional): Sprinkle a few extra Toll House Milk Chocolate Morsels on top for garnish.
