The Secret Ingredient
Ingredients
- ●1 MAGGI® Vegetable Flavor Bouillon Cube, crumbled
- ●1 tablespoon MAGGI® Hot & Sweet Tomato Chili Sauce
- ●1 1/2 cups raw green soybeans
- ●4 cups water
- ●3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ●6 dry red chilis
- ●2 tablespoons chopped yellow onion
- ●1 green bell pepper, chopped
- ●2 green chilis, sliced in half lengthwise
- ●1 tablespoon ginger paste
- ●1 tablespoon garlic paste
- ●2 tablespoons soy sauce
- ●1 Roma tomato, pureed
- ●1 green onion, thinly sliced
- ●Pinch salt
- ●2 cloves garlic, chopped
- ●5 ounces Hakka noodles
Make It
Step 1
Soak soybeans in hot water along with ½ tablespoon salt for 30 mins. Drain and set water aside.
Step 2
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a karahi and add dry red chilies, onion, bell pepper, green chilies, ginger paste and garlic paste; sauté on medium heat until onions turn brown.
Step 3
Add soybeans to the pan; add salt and mix well. Stir fry for about 5 minutes.
Step 4
In the reserved water add crumbled MAGGI Vegetable Cube, soy sauce and tomato puree. Mix well and bring to a boil over high heat; add to the pan with the soybeans and mix. Reduce heat and cook covered for 8-10 minutes.
Step 5
Cook the hakka noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a karahi, add the chopped garlic and stir fry for a minute. Add the prepared Chili Garlic Sauce and mix well.
Step 6
In a bowl place the cooked noodles and pour the Chili Garlic Soybeans over the noodles. Garnish with the green onions and serve hot.
