Chili Mushroom Fried Rice

  • This is a Chinese-Indian fried rice which is popular across Chinese restaurants and is packed with flavor and chili heat.

The Secret Ingredient


  • 2 MAGGI® Vegetable Flavor Bouillon Cubes, crumbled
  • 2 cups uncooked white rice, rinsed well and cooked
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
  • 1 green chili pepper, finely chopped
  • 6 green onions, green and white parts chopped separately
  • 8 ounces sliced white mushrooms
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Pinch of salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Make It

Step 1

Heat the oil in a wok. Add ginger, garlic and green chili pepper and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add white parts of green onions, mushrooms, pepper and salt to taste and stir fry for 5 minutes more.

Step 2

Add the cooked rice, soy sauce and green parts of green onions. Fry for another 2-3 minutes. Add crumbled bouillon cubes and mix well.

Step 3

Serve hot.
