Turkey and homemade cranberry sauce is perfect for Thanksgiving, although with a smaller turkey breast there's no reason you can't make this year-round. The chipotle chile adds flavor and heat to the cranberry sauce.

The Secret Ingredient

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless turkey breast
  • 1 can (12 fluid ounces) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Lowfat 2% Milk
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 small chipotle chile in adobo sauce from a can
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons MAGGI Granulated Chicken Flavor Bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour

Make It

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Step 2

Bake turkey breast for 45 minutes or until meat thermometer reaches 170° F on an instant-read thermometer. Let turkey stand and proceed with recipe.

Step 3

Place evaporated milk, water, chile, bouillon and garlic powder in a blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

Step 4

Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook, stirring frequently, for 3 minutes. Add blended mixture; mix constantly for 15 minutes. This will help thicken the sauce.

Step 5

Add cranberries to sauce; continue to stir. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Step 6

Whisk flour and ½ cup of sauce together in a separate bowl. Once smooth, return to skillet; cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Step 7

Slice turkey. Spoon sauce over sliced turkey.
Tip:
Prepare the sauce right before the turkey is going to come out of the oven.
