Mini Buñuelos with Café de Olla Hot Fudge Sauce

  • These mini buñuelos are so easy to make using ingredients you likely already have: whole wheat tortillas, sugar and cinnamon. Make them extra special with a Café de Olla Fudge sauce for a great looking dessert.

Condensed Milk

Sweetened Condensed Milk 14 oz Can

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 5 (8-inch) soft taco-size whole wheat flour tortillas
  • 3/4 cup NESTLÉ LA LECHERA Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 tablespoon NESCAFÉ Café de Olla Instant Coffee Beverage Granules
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Dash of salt

Make It

Step 1

Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl; set aside.

Step 2

Using a 3-inch cookie cutter or drinking glass, cut out 4 circles from each tortilla.

Step 3

Heat oil in medium skillet. Fry tortillas 4 at a time, turning once, for about 10 to 15 seconds per side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle fritters with cinnamon-sugar on both sides.

Step 4

Combine sweetened condensed milk and chocolate in medium, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute. Stir with wire whisk until smooth.

Step 5

Combine water and coffee granules in small bowl; stir until dissolved. Stir into chocolate mixture along with vanilla extract and salt. Serve buñuelos with hot fudge sauce.
