1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 cup sliced toasted almonds, chopped pecans or walnuts
1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
Juice from one small lemon
5 medium baking apples, cored, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch slices (about 7 cups total)
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons melted butter or coconut oil
Vanilla Edy’s® Ice Cream or freshly whipped cream (optional)
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Combine cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and allspice in small bowl; stir well.

Combine oats, 1/3 cup flour, almonds, brown sugar, salt and all but 1 teaspoon spice mixture in medium bowl; stir in butter until combined.
