Make It
Step 1
Beat eggs in a large mixer bowl on medium-high speed. With mixer running, gradually add sugar; beat for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Microwave 1 cup lowfat milk and butter in a large, microwave-safe bowl for about 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir in 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract.
Step 3
Combine flour and baking powder in a small bowl. Add to sugar mixture; beat at medium speed for about 30 seconds. Do not over mix.
Step 4
Add half of the beaten flour mixture to the milk mixture; stir well to dissolve any clumps. Pour mixture into mixer bowl with remaining beaten flour mixture. Whisk until combined.
Step 5
Pour batter into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° F for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Step 6
Whisk evaporated milk, remaining ½ cup lowfat milk, sweetened condensed milk and remaining ½ teaspoon vanilla extract in a small bowl. Poke cake all over with handle of a wooden spoon. Pour milk mixture evenly over cake.
