Step 1

Preheat oven to 350° F. Spread pastry on a floured surface using a rolling pin. Grease 9-inch pie plate. Line pie plate with pastry; prick the dough with a fork.

Step 2

Beat cream cheese until creamy; add sweetened condensed milk and sweet potato puree. Beat in eggs one at a time; beat in cinnamon, nutmeg and grated orange peel. Pour into pie plate.

Step 3

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes; remove from oven and let cool. Decorate pie with whipped cream, orange slices and star anise.
