Ingredients
- ●1 teaspoon NESCAFÉ CLÁSICO 100% Pure Instant Coffee Granules
- ●1 teaspoon MAGGI Granulated Chicken Flavor Bouillon, divided
- ●1/2 pound lean pork stew meat
- ●4 ounces (about 4 strips) smoked bacon, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
- ●4 cups water
- ●1 cup dried black beans, rinsed
- ●7 ounces smoked lean pork sausage, chopped into 1/4-inch pieces
- ●1/3 cup chopped onion
- ●2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- ●1 dried bay leaf
- ●3 cups cooked white rice
- ●1 jalapeño, sliced for garnish
- ●1/4 cup chopped flat leaf parsley for garnish
Make It
Step 1
Combine coffee granules and 1/2 teaspoon bouillon in a medium bowl. Add stew meat; stir to season.
Step 2
Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add bacon; cook, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes. Add stew meat; cook, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes or until stew meat is browned.
Step 3
Add water, beans, sausage, onion, remaining ½ teaspoon bouillon, garlic and bay leaf. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cover; cook for 1 hour. Remove bay leaf.
Step 4
Serve with white rice. Garnish with jalapeño slices and parsley.
Make ahead and store in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container.
